Eco-Friendly Lawn Care in Dallas, GA
Lawn Care for Dallas, the Paulding County Seat
Dallas grew up around a courthouse square, and the 1892 courthouse with its clock tower is still the first thing you see coming into downtown. The rest of the town has spread out from there, toward the Silver Comet Trail and out past Pickett's Mill. A lot of Dallas lawns sit on ground that was farmland a generation ago, which means wide, open yards and plenty of sun. Ecocare has been caring for north Georgia lawns since 2010, and we serve Dallas homes and businesses. Founder Alejandro Simmonds holds a degree in Environmental Horticulture, and our science-backed, reduced-impact treatments keep Dallas yards thick, green, and weed-free, for homes and commercial properties alike.
Our Lawn Care Services in Dallas
Fertilization and Weed Control
Our 8-application Turf Care Program combines fertilization with pre-emergent weed control, which stops weeds before they sprout, and post-emergent weed control, which treats the weeds already there. Each program is tailored to your grass, warm-season or cool-season.
Tree and Shrub Care
Dallas yards often keep a few big shade trees from the old farmstead, plus newer foundation plantings around the house. We offer deep root fertilization plus insect and disease control to keep both healthy and growing strong.
Lawn Disease Control
Wide-open lawns that stay wet through humid summer nights are prone to turf diseases like brown patch and dollar spot. We offer preventative treatments, plus curative treatments for problems that have already started.
Insect Control
We treat armyworms, grubs, and beetles before they damage your turf. Our insect treatments are pet-friendly.
Aeration
Core aeration pulls small plugs of soil so water, air, and nutrients can reach the roots. On old pasture ground that has been driven over and packed for years, it's one of the most useful things you can do. For Bermuda and zoysia lawns, we aerate from spring into summer, once the lawn is about 50% green.
Fall Fescue Overseeding
Fescue thins out every year. Our fall overseeding (September through November) pairs core aeration with premium fescue seed to fill bare spots and thicken your lawn.
Dallas Lawn Conditions and Seasonal Timing
Dallas sits on high ground, and much of the town was farmland before it was subdivisions. That history shows in the soil: years of cattle and equipment compacted the clay, and in newer neighborhoods the builder may have scraped the topsoil off entirely. Compacted clay sheds water, so a heavy rain runs off instead of soaking in, and the grass goes dry a few days later.
Sun is usually not the problem here. Most Dallas yards get plenty of it, which is good news for Bermuda and zoysia, warm-season grasses that love summer heat and go dormant (brown) in winter. Tall fescue shows up in the shade near older homes and along tree lines, where it handles low light better but struggles through July and August. On bigger lots you'll often find both, plus a rough patch out back.
A typical Dallas year looks like this:
- Late winter to early spring: pre-emergent weed control goes down before crabgrass and other weeds sprout.
- Spring into summer: warm-season lawns are fed as they green up, and core aeration begins once they're about 50% green. Summer is when we watch for disease and insects.
- Fall: fescue lawns get aerated and overseeded from September through November, and we stay ahead of winter weeds.
We adjust every program to your grass type, your soil, and your yard.

Dallas Lawn Care FAQs
How do I get a free estimate?
Call (678) 993-0834 or fill out our online free estimate form. If you can, upload photos of the front, back, and sides of your lawn, plus any problem areas, so we can give you a more accurate estimate.
My Dallas yard was pasture before the house was built. Anything special needed?
Usually, yes. Old pasture ground is compacted and often low on organic matter, so we start with core aeration and a feeding program built around your grass type. It takes a couple of seasons to loosen that soil up, but the difference shows.
What's included in the Turf Care Program?
Eight applications a year that include fertilization, pre-emergent weed control, and post-emergent weed control, tailored for warm-season or cool-season grass.
Are your treatments safe for pets?
Our insect control treatments are pet-friendly, and we use environmentally conscious, reduced-impact products across our services.
Do you service commercial properties in Dallas?
Yes. Commercial properties get the same treatments as our residential customers: customized programs, regular treatment schedules, and turf, tree, and shrub care. We work alongside your landscapers, who handle the mowing.
