First, we core aerate to loosen the soil and open up space. This gives the new seed good contact with the soil and room for roots to grow.

Then we spread premium fescue seed across the lawn to fill in bare spots and thicken the turf overall.

Why Fescue Needs Overseeding Every Year

Fescue loses some ground every year. Summer heat, drought, disease, and foot traffic all take their toll, and because fescue grows in clumps instead of spreading, it can't fill those gaps on its own. Overseeding each fall replaces what was lost and keeps your lawn full.

Why Fall Is the Right Time

We overseed from September through November. Cooler air and still-warm soil help fescue seed sprout and settle in, and the new grass has fall, winter, and spring to establish before summer heat returns. There's also less competition from summer weeds.
